Andrew Taylor has been a writer and journalist all his life. After studying English Literature at Oxford University he spent time working in newspapers and magazines in London and the Middle East, including reviewing books for The Times Literary Supplement, The Literary Review, The Ritz Magazine, and The Daily Express. He has also reported for BBC Television News. Among his previous books are 'God's Fugitive, the life of C.M. Doughty' and 'Books that Changed the World - the Fifty Most Influential Books'. He is currently working on the official biography of the poet Vernon Scannell.
